RotaFota can also be used to create a 360 degree panorama. Although
not absolutely required, a tripod is extremely useful for this.
Some tripods have gradations on the stem which makes the job almost
trivial. If not, usually a 'best guess' at regular intervals will
surfice. Simply take a photo, turn the camera a small amount then
take another photo. Repeat this several times whilst remembering where
you started so you know when to stop.
The number of photos taken is also important with more photos taken at regular intervals
the better. The minimum recommended number would be 12 but anywhere between 18 to 36 photos
giving better results. For comparison, the example on the left has 36 photos.
